U11 ‘A’ V TPS

The Copthill U11 ‘A’ team performed very well against TPS in a game of touch rugby. Having to play this non-contact style did not phase the boys and they worked well as a team, particularly in attack when our strike runners made breaks before releasing support players on their outside. The handling was very good and the positive spirit and sportsmanship shown by every boy was really excellent. We will need to work on organising our defensive line quickly and every player being aware of their role in defence when we get back to playing teams in the contact format of rugby. James captained the side very well once again and Hamish, Joshua and Oliver were all impressive carrying the ball straight and hard. Harry and James showed good angles of running and were organised in defence. Thayer played an important role in snapping up interception balls and in having the pace to get around the TPS defence. A good effort.
