Some of the Y6 boys travelled to Gresham’s School in Norfolk to participate in a regional hockey tournament. They were drawn out against some tough opposition in their morning group which included the Suffolk Champions and Hertfordshire Champions in our group!
Having lost the opening match to Ipswich Prep, they then drew with Felsted School, who are renowned hockey specialists and then managed to beat Bishop Stortford 1-0 which was incredible! The top 3 teams all finished on 4 points and only goal difference meant that we didn’t go through as group winners.
The boys grew into the tournament and in the afternoon they won all of their matches which in included Gresham’s, The Perse and Culford School!
The boys played outstandingly well throughout the competition and every single one of them were players of the match.
