Some of the Y4 boys were chosen to represent the Copthill U9 football team on Monday 15th May.
This was a rearranged match which was called off due to snow last year and one that the boys were very much looking forward to playing.
The boys were switched on right from the first whistle and started the game with great energy and high tempo. They took the lead midway through the first half after an excellent move was finished off by Lucas. Market Deeping then drew level just before half time.
The second half began brightly and we took a deserved lead through Monty with a low drive into the bottom corner of the goal. We started to dominate the half and took full control of the match scoring another goal through Aurion.
This was a fantastic match with some excellent players on show from both sides. All the boys from Copthill were superb and they are a very talented group of boys and I hope they can play a few more football matches together as they move through Y5&6!
