Welcome to all of our new parents and children and welcome back to all of our existing families. We are all delighted with how well the children have settled back in. They have been exploring their new classrooms as well as the outdoor areas. The warm weather has allowed for lots of outdoor play opportunities, including the very popular water play sessions!
In the classroom we have been playing lots of games to help us learn new names and we have been talking about who we live with. The children have been drawing their families onto paper houses and making simple representations of their families with small world people. The children have also joined in with music and movement, cosmic yoga and PE on the playground. There have also been lots of free play opportunities allowing the children to become comfortable and confident in their new environments.
At Forest School the children have been keeping cool in the shade of the woods as they learn all of the new boundaries and routines. They have also been very busy looking for dragon tails…!
