The rain cleared just in time for the boys to emerge onto the pitch for their customary warm up, lead by their House Captains, who were fantastic in managing their teams all afternoon. With two full rounds of matches to get through there was plenty of hockey for boys to show off their talents, and as expected the competition was fair but fierce! With games going end to end, defences had to be alert, midfields energetic, and forwards unrelenting. The packed gallery of spectators were treated to an hour of intense sporting action that in many cases came down to the tightest of margins. In the end one team were just a little more clinical in front of goal, and that started to show as the tournament progressed. However, as the coaches reflected afterwards, the high standard of hockey on display, the commitment shown by all the players, and particularly the teamwork and sportsmanship was exemplarily, and a great credit to all of Year 3 and 4. Well done to all the boys, and special congratulations to Milton who took the Boys Hockey House Trophy for 2023!
